Want to lose weight with dieting? Here is how

Studies have shown that the best way to lose weight involves exercising and adopting a healthy diet. While completely changing your diet can be difficult, consuming and gradually incorporating healthier foods into your diet will help you lose weight and keep it off.

Here are healthy, realistic diet tips to help you lose weight sustainably.

Eat foods rich in fiber: Foods like potatoes, beans, oats, fruits and vegetables, including whole grains, are fiber-rich foods that help you lose weight, keep you fuller and reduce your calorie intake. They also provide numerous nutrients and vitamins that are essential for overall health.

High protein foods are essential: From helping to suppress cravings, to increasing satiety and hunger control, development and maintenance of muscles, and speeding up metabolism, a protein-rich diet provides several benefits for weight loss. Beans, eggs, salmon, lean meat are examples of high protein foods. Eating more of these foods will help you lose weight and contribute to general wellbeing. They also help prevent cardiovascular diseases and lower blood pressure.

Eat whole foods: Swapping processed foods for whole foods makes sure that you know what you are eating and helps you keep track of your calories. Nourishing your body with natural food cooked from scratch will keep you full, ensure a nutrient-dense diet and help you lose weight.

Fruits and vegetables are your friends: Fruits and vegetables are compulsory if you want to lose weight, stay healthy and strong.  They are naturally sweet, low in calories, contain fiber, antioxidants and all the essential nutrients your body needs. A diet rich in fruits, leafy greens and other vegetables is the best diet for sustainable weight loss and overall good health.

Replace sugary drinks with water: Staying hydrated with water is essential for general wellbeing and helps you lose weight as it reduces calorie intake by keeping you full. All kinds of fizzy drinks contain high amounts of sugar which are fattening. Replace sugary and processed fruit drinks with water, and your body will thank you.

  1. i’m a minor and my parents do all of the cooking and i feel too embarrassed to ask them to buy certain foods just for me because my family will start asking questions. for breakfast and lunch i’m good but dinner is always out of my control. is there anything i can do?

    1. If you like to cook, you can propose to your parents to cook sometimes for dinner (like 2 times a week for example). Thanks to that you can eat a good meal that you like and that is healthy. Your parents would be happy to see you cooing so that theu can have some time for them without thinking that you became picky about food or that you want to diet.
